Can Cats Have Egg? Benefits Of Egg For Cats | Homemade Cat Food |

My previous blog post was all about milk (click here to give it a read!). Today we are going to be talking about eggs and the benefits it has for your cat. We will also discuss how an egg can save a cat's life. Make sure you read through the whole blog!

First and foremost, you CAN give your cat an egg. However, obviously, you can't just give your kitty eggs. It will also need chicken, meat, rice, potatoes etc.

You can give your raw cat egg, but you will have to throw it away after a few minutes. Half-boiled is the best form in which you can give your cat an egg. This way, the majority of bacteria will be killed. Some cats like an omelette, but you shouldn't give it to them. There may be spices, oil and onions in, which can be harmful. You can, however, use a non-stick pan and make sure it's just plain egg without spices etc.

You can use egg as a snack/treat and only give it once daily. Some people are vegetarian/vegan, so ask if their cats can also be vegetarian/vegan. Cats are carnivores, meaning that they need to eat meat to survive. Not giving meat/chicken to your cat is very cruel.

How can an egg save a dying cat? If your cat has eaten something toxic/poisonous, for example, you sprayed it with flea spray/powder, and it licked that, you can give your cat a white egg, which will give it relief. You can provide it 2/3 times a day but don't add any yolk in!

Eggshells can also be beneficial because they contain calcium. You can add it to your cat's diet but make sure you do your own research first.

Thank you for reading my blog! Don't hesitate to ask if you have any queries in the comments!
