Calming Down An Aggressive Cat | How To Gain The Trust Of A Cat |
Today I will be talking about how you can calm down an aggressive cat that may be in a bad temper. This terrible temper may be because it's an adult cat and is under stress because it's either missing its old owners or is simply depressed because of the sudden change in routine, environment etc. A friend of mine sold his kitten and a year later purchased it. The cat was in a terrible mood. Constantly scratching and meowing viciously. The first thing you should do is give the cat time. Not giving it time will then result in a delay in recovery. Don't disturb it while it's eating or sleeping; don't force it to play with you when it is not in the mood!
Touching a cat's belly or tail while sleeping irritates it, so don't do that. The second thing you should do is give the cat lots of treats. That will make it want to come to you more often and feel a lot more relaxed. In addition, it will for sure start trusting you. Now I'll also tell you spots where you should pet your cat. Cats love to be scratched on the head and neck area. Give them a nice massage, and they'll soon be attached to you.
Catnip can be used to help a cat relax. It works for every cat. However, 50 to 70% of cats become aggressive or depressed. Catnip powder and catnip sprays are both available online or on the market. Medications can also be given to cats to feel a lot more relaxed.
Also, when the cat is stressed, try not to introduce another cat to it during this time. You can, however, take it outside and somewhere where there are birds so that it feels a bit content and more cheerful.
