How To Switch Cat Food Around? | Transitioning From One Food To Another |

This blog post is super important, and it's how you change your cat's food from one to another. You can face many problems if you don't follow this procedure. Your cat will either not eat the food or become ill.

First and foremost, if your cat is older than 6 months and is not eating any other food, that's totally your fault! You should have introduced different types of food to it from the beginning (when it was a kitten).

Even if you have changed your pet's diet around, and it has eaten the food blissfully, you need to follow the procedure because your cat can get ill.

The Proper Way To Change Your Cats Diet Around:

First, take 70% of the old food (food your cat is used to and already eating) and mix it with 30% of the new food (food you are introducing). Give this food to your cat for at least 2/3 days. This way, your cat won't get ill and vomit. After a few days, change the ratio to 50:50 (%). It will take 7 days for your cat to be used to the new food you are introducing.

Follow this procedure so that your cats don't get ill! This blog post is critical, so please save it or not what I said.

Also, another thing id like to mention is free feeding. I have said this before in a previous blog. Free-feeding is when you always have available food for your cat (24/7). Don't free-feed your cat! Make a proper routine and stick to it.

Finally, please ensure you are feeding your felines a variety of food. Again, I have mentioned this several times before: A cat that eats a variety of food will have more chance of surviving (when ill) than a cat that only eats a specific type of food.

Thank you for reading my blog! Please don't hesitate to ask if you have any queries!!
