Where should my kitten sleep? | Day 3 |

Where should my kitten sleep? | Day 3 |

Deciding where the kitten should sleep was a problem. We had an empty, spacious guest room for the kitten, and we decided to leave it there. Our bedrooms happened to be upstairs and the guest room downstairs. We were pretty confused but left the door to the kitten's room open, so it could come upstairs when it wanted to.

After a while, we checked up on Simba, who seemed anxious and upset about us leaving him. We then decided to take it upstairs with us. The following day,  when we woke up, there was a stool on the stairs and a few other places. What had happened was the kitten wanted to sleep downstairs and so had gone downstairs, but we had moved its litter tray upstairs. It was on its way up but couldn't hold it in, and yeah, you get the idea... Kittens may poop outside their litter box for several reasons. Just be patient because they may do it out of anxiety/stress. It takes time for them to adjust to a new home.

The next day we decided to close the door to the guest room so it wouldn't have way too much space to roam around and excrete wherever it could. We checked it after a while, and it seemed asleep and quite comfortable. We decided to do that for the next few days, but as it got closer and attached to us, it became harder to make it stay in its room...and even more heartbreaking.
